I think that it’s extraordinarily important that we in computer science keep fun in computing. When it started out, it was an awful lot of fun. Of course, the paying customers got shafted every now and then, and after a while we began to take their complaints seriously. We began to feel as if we really were responsible for the successful, error-free perfect use of these machines. I don’t think we are. I think we’re responsible for stretching them, setting them off in new directions, and keeping fun in the house. I hope the field of computer science never loses its sense of fun. Above all, I hope we don’t become missionaries. Don’t feel as if you’re Bible salesmen. The world has too many of those already. What you know about computing other people will learn. Don’t feel as if the key to successful computing is only in your hands. What’s in your hands, I think and hope, is intelligence: the ability to see the machine as more than when you were first led up to it, that you can make it more.

This is new punchline for my blog and for my life :D I’ve received this thought from Brian Tracy. It made me stop and think and I have concluded that that is just the feeling that I have been following for the past year or so. That feeling when you are overwhelmed with tasks, chores and ideas and you do not know how you will make it all happen.

Before, my MO was to succumb. To crush and despair. Now I just do the next thing. I just concentrate and fire one little spark that will start all the action needed. I have learned to make a first small effort to make things going and not to over-think about what has to be done. All that you need is to start the rest will follow.

So when I feel that I have reached the end of my comfort zone and that I have more than a bit of resistance I just make one more step, just one little effort that will break through the self-imposed limit.

After that everything goes by itself.

At the end all that I have is joy and satisfaction. No more despair, no more “I could have done it.”

I feel that point of life is just to expand your limits constantly. You will never be bored, nor unsatisfied, nor exhausted. You will feel creative, inspired, satisfied and fulfilled. Enjoy the Life – break your comfort, live fully, you can always be more, feel more, enjoy more.

One of the most motivational things you can do is to clean up and start from scratch.

Throw away all the garbage, all started-not-finished tasks, all I-wanted-this ideas. Now is completely different moment. Every moment is completely different. You have new bits of information. Do not get stuck in too much of what you have wanted in some distant (and not so distant) moment. Your now has shifted. Do you get that feeling that you are doing something just because… Well, stop it!

You are new person, no matter how tiny different, but maybe that tiny makes all the difference. All the difference between doing and not doing something that is now outdated. Make constant sum ups. Sum all that you think about something, recalculate already calculated pros and cons, maybe weigh has changed? Doing things that are 100% aligned with our vibration is essential for everything.

Clean up, sum up, start from scratch!

I sometimes forget to do something. Although I have the time, I am in the mood to get things done, I simply do not remember. There is a better way than remembering everything. Make lists.

You can do it with simple pen and paper or with some fancy web app, but the point is just get more organized. You will spent less time trying to remember what is there to be done and more just doing things.

As always what is needed is strong decision to get organized. I made one just now. For who-knows-which time, but eventually I’m gonna master it. I have clear preference to do it. I’m in total alignment with that organized energy. I’m already doing it. I’m doing it. And so can you.
